Pyramid Gap Rebirth

My snowmobile broke.... So I abandoned the A-team of Pep and John Symms, to use my tenderloins to hike Grizzly Gulch with the Webisode Crew of Ross, Lukas Tanaka, and Collin Collins. Anyone who has hiked the gulch knows that in the dead center, is the mine tailings known as pyramid Gap. To celebrate the 11th anniversary of pyramid gap, and to fulfill a dream that I have had since I first watched Los Alamos, I talked the crew into building the gap.

It wasn't easy, and we had to recruit Steve Rozenedaal filmer and photographer Brent Benson to help build. Brent has built the gap many times before so his advice and optimism was invaluable, haha, he was stoked to be building the gap again for how many times he couldn't remember.

We finished the gap on saturday afternoon.... and exhausted we decided to start sessioning the gap. I decided to not mess around and first hit I went for the double rodeo 1080 that was my goal. I am not the greatest at this trick and ended up coming up a little short, so next time I hiked higher. This time I over rotating a double rodeo 1260 landing awkwardly on my face.... next hit i decided the best bet was double rodeo 900 landing switch.

Well since our crew was so small and it took most of the second day of building to finish, we ran out of sunlight and with no landings this day we decided to sleep and get after it the next day. So with a fresh I got my trick first hit and decided to call it after that. Double rodeo 900 in the bag, Pyramid has been awoken, and it was another great session.

Me and the boyz also hit up some of the other great terrain in the gulch. I am so happy that even without a sled, I can enjoy the backcountry with a 30 minute hike. We spent the whole week up here and there is so much to do its overwhelming!

So with that said, watch for the Webisode coming soon, full of shenanigans, good times, Fun lines, kitty butters, and lots of uhm what am I forgetting... skiing!
