Snow hasn't been falling on the West Coast in the past couple weeks, so with Mike flying into Oregon, an alternative had to be made. I pick Mike up from the Redmond, OR airport. I tell him, "hey we built a different kind of feature up at Mt. Bachelor, you ready?" It's 615pm, and Mike casually replies, "Yes." A little over an hour later Mike was hitting a near 50 degree take off in the night. Three hours later Mike had bagged unbelievable photos and way better than average night park shots.
The next day we took the sleds out. No new snow, flat light, nothing.
The next day we decided at the shitty hour of 10am to drive 20 hours straight to meet John Spriggs and a sketchy Colorado forecast. After dense fog, two skids at 60mph, a gazillion cigarrettes and spliffs, we arrived at our hotel at 545am. 1 hour of sleep and the 1st of 80 lines was underway.
I guess skiing pow in pillows and sun is fun? Just ask Mike Henitiuk and John Spriggs, its what they did for six days in a row.
Cheers,
Pete
