After the past few days of wacky weather (two days of rain followed by two days of epic light Oregon fluff totaling almost two feet) we are finally ready to go.
Yesterday was quite the day setting up the first warm up rail feature, (Pictured below) running to the airport to get the athletes and denying them from going to gen-x to get their tall t fashion on. We then went straight to the mountain to start testing the feature. After testing the feature and showing the athletes the other ones things just started to get interesting.
On our short drive through downtown Government Camp (GOVY) we ran into a lady who's little BMW was high centered on the snow. After flagging us down like a Blazers dancer in the playoffs, she was so excited to see my truck full of what looked like an immigrant worker shuttle straight out of Seattle. Myself and everyone piled out to help get her out of her situation.
How she did this is beyond me, but apparently she got plowed in, and had never driven in snow before so she naturally got her self stuck. I put my old skills of being a valet driver to work and hoped right in the car to start rocking it out. Once we had some wiggle room to play with it sprung free with the help of some pushing and rocking. It took about 45 mins to get her unstuck for she was extremely high centered. It was quite the scene as this other lady across the way was stuck and we had to get her out as well. Some pretty funny comments were made and she was amazed we knew how to function in snow. She had just moved from Hawaii so you can imagine her lack of snow driving experience. She was then later quoted saying "You guys are my nights in shinning armor"
We are now waiting for the sun to pop and get the show underway today.
Stay Tuned...
